Egg On My Face
These girls are older than the girls in this story, but whatever
The other day I was teaching the five-and-six-year-olds. We were pretending to ride unicorns. (This accomplishes many goals at once: we worked on pony canters [a good prep for pas de chat], a manege pattern, and building dexterity in wrists and fingers). At the end of the exercise I said, "Wave goodbye as your unicorn flies away!" "Miss Chelsea," said my little stickler, "unicorns don't fly. You're thinking of a pegasus." Clearly I need to bone up on my mythical creatures before tomorrow's class.
